About Brisbane 2032
Brisbane 2032 was established to plan, organise, finance and stage the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Between July and September 2032, Brisbane will host both events over an exciting and history-making 29 days of ceremony, festival and competition. The Games will see 14,850 athletes from over 200 teams arrive on our shores to compete for Olympic and Paralympic glory.
The Role
As a Procurement Specialist, reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will be instrumental in providing end-to-end procurement support across all functional areas of Brisbane 2032.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Provide end-to-end procurement support to all Brisbane 2032 functional areas.
- Support procurement planning and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage all aspects of sourcing activities, including RFx development and management, commercial negotiations, drafting decision papers and ensuring RFx compliance requirements are met.
- Lead contract negotiation and drafting, working closely with the Legal team.
- Support contract management, including monitoring delivery, quality, costs and risks, preparing contract variations and extensions, managing disputes and closing out contracts.
- Directly manage contract performance for Corporate Services contracts or other contracts assigned to the Procurement function.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, transactions and contracts.
- Support supplier management, customer engagement and community engagement activities.
- Contribute to policy development, governance reviews and system implementation initiatives.
- Assist with audits, reporting and review activities.
Desired Experience and Competencies:
- 3-5 years of relevant procurement experience.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven commercial acumen, with strong negotiation skills and experience.
- Solid experience in contract management, including drafting, execution and performance monitoring.
- Familiarity with the Queensland Government Procurement Policy is highly regarded.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
