The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and experienced individual to contribute to significant projects. You will be instrumental in the development of robust procurement policies and processes. Your expertise will be crucial in building and maintaining key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, resolving complex contractual disputes, and ensuring compliance with government policies and legislation.
Key Responsibilities
As the Procurement Manager, your primary focus will be on contract development and governance. This includes:
Developing and managing high-risk contracts from planning to completion.
Conducting business planning and scoping for each project.
Mentoring and supervising project team members.
Providing expert advice to clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Contributing to the development of procurement policies and strategies.
Resolving complex contractual disputes through consultation and negotiation.
You will also be responsible for ensuring all activities align with established government procurement policies and delegations.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Proven experience in high-risk contract development within a complex procurement environment. Stong WA Governement expereince will be looked upon favourably.
Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to prepare complex technical documents and consult at all levels.
Exceptional research, analytical, and conceptual skills to develop innovative solutions.
Demonstrated ability in risk management, specifically within procurement processes.
In-depth knowledge of government procurement policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
Desirable:
Possession of, or progress toward, a relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance, law, or procurement.
