Procurement Manager

About the Role:
This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly experienced and autonomous Senior Procurement professional to establish and lead the full procurement function a specialist company and it's company entities. You will be the sole procurement professional responsible for the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, driving value for money, mitigating risk, and building strong supplier relationships. This role is ideal for an ambitious person with experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies across complex organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and roll out comprehensive procurement frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Establish and manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and contract negotiation to vendor performance management.
- Conduct strategic sourcing activities to achieve cost reductions and maximize value for money.
- Assess the need for formal contracts and establish contracts with major suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, including monitoring performance and ensuring adherence to KPIs and sustainability targets.
- Foster relationships with other entities in the region to leverage co-sourcing opportunities.
- Lead Modern Slavery compliance activities, including framework and statement drafting.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to senior management on all procurement-related matters.
- Analyse and improve existing procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Review spend reporting and market engagement opportunities to drive cost reductions and increase value for money.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
- 8+ years of proven experience in a procurement or supply chain role, ideally within infrastructure, energy, mining, or engineering sectors
- Extensive experience working autonomously, demonstrating exceptional self-direction and initiative.
- High level of commercial acumen with a strategic mindset and a demonstrated ability to deliver commercial innovation and value.
- Exceptional negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on process creation, analysis, and improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work effectively across different cultures.
