About the Role:

As a Principal Planner, you will be a key leader in our team, responsible for:

• Managing and delivering a diverse portfolio of complex planning projects from inception to completion.

• Providing expert planning advice to a range of clients, including developers, government agencies, and private landowners.

• Guiding, mentoring, and developing junior and senior planners.

• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and building strong client relationships.

• Effectively engaging with government authorities, community groups, and other stakeholders.

What We're Looking For:

• A tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning or a related field.

• 8+ years in an urban planning consultancy or a relevant role.

• Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex statutory and strategic planning projects.

• In-depth knowledge of the Queensland planning framework (e.g., Planning Act, State Planning Policy, local government schemes).

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and report writing skills.

• A client-focused and results-oriented approach.

• Membership of the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) is highly desirable.
