Are you a seasoned and ambitious Principal Planner ready for a new challenge?
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Principal Planner in their Brisbane CBD office. This is a unique opportunity to lead complex and high-profile projects, mentor a talented team, and shape the future of urban development in Queensland and beyond.
About the Role:
As a Principal Planner, you will be a key leader in our team, responsible for:
Managing and delivering a diverse portfolio of complex planning projects from inception to completion.
Providing expert planning advice to a range of clients, including developers, government agencies, and private landowners.
Guiding, mentoring, and developing junior and senior planners.
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and building strong client relationships.
Effectively engaging with government authorities, community groups, and other stakeholders.
What We're Looking For:
A tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning or a related field.
8+ years in an urban planning consultancy or a relevant role.
Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex statutory and strategic planning projects.
In-depth knowledge of the Queensland planning framework (e.g., Planning Act, State Planning Policy, local government schemes).
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and report writing skills.
A client-focused and results-oriented approach.
Membership of the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) is highly desirable.
