Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Principal Infrastructure Services Officer – Claims Management to lead the strategic review and enhancement of claims procedures and policies within a large, complex organisation. This role sits within the Claims Management team, which oversees insurance claims under the Resource Replacement Scheme and the Queensland Government Insurance Fund (QGIF).
The successful candidate will provide expert leadership and advice across a broad range of infrastructure planning and asset management issues, with a strong focus on claims reform, policy alignment, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the review of the Resource Replacement Scheme Procedure and Specified Cover (last reviewed in 2021), ensuring alignment with current organisational, risk, and equipment management frameworks, as well as QGIF policies.
- Oversee the review and enhancement of internal procedures for managing claims under QGIF and the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA).
- Lead and support project teams to deliver system improvements, process reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop user-friendly supporting documentation and guidance to improve accessibility and understanding of claims processes for schools and site-based staff.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in team practices and streamline claims handling processes.
- Establish and maintain strategic networks and partnerships to ensure service delivery aligns with best practices and stakeholder needs.
About You:
This role would suit an experienced professional with a background in public sector infrastructure services, claims management, insurance or finance. You will be confident in managing change, driving policy reform, and leading cross-functional project teams.
