... About the role:
As a Principal Electronics Design Engineer you will provide technical leadership and guide a team of electronics professionals, driving the design and development of advanced electronics systems within EOS Defence Systems. Your role will be hands-on, technically challenging,and critical to the success of high-profile defence projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with multidisciplinary engineering teams, delivering quality project outcomes on time and within budget.
- Design, analyse and develop high-speed digital and analogue circuits, harnesses, embedded systems and control systems.
- Conduct schematic and PCB design (preferably using Altium Designer) and simulate electronic designs using tools such as SPICE.
- Apply DFX principles and perform thorough documentation, verification and validation.
- Collaborate with systems, mechanical and software engineers to ensure cohesive system designs.
- Mentor and support engineers while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Develop, review and maintain design specifications, work plans and engineering reports.
About You:
You will be a confident and experienced electronics engineer capable of ownership of delivering electronics designs aligned with the product development goals, supporting the full engineering lifecycle - from concept and design through to integration, testing and final delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:
- 10+ years’ electronics engineering experience, including 5+ years in a senior or mentoring role
- Expertise in high-speed circuit design, motor control, and embedded systems
- Strong command of Altium Designer, SPICE and other design tools
- Experience across the engineering lifecycle, from concept through to delivery
- Deep understanding of analogue/digital circuits, FPGAs, microcontrollers,
- DSPs, and communication buses (I2C, CAN, SPI, Ethernet)
- Experience with DFMEA and robust V&V practices
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field
- Currently hold or ability to obtain a Chartered Professional Engineering Status
