About your new role
The People Policy and Workplace Relations Officer will provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. They will also be responsible for on performance reviews and provide performance assessment, feedback and development and assists in guiding, coaching, mentoring and developing employees. They will also be responsible for contributing to business improvement strategies and to change in workplace practices.

... Lead and contribute to strategic initiatives, focusing on business process improvement, developing new people policies, and driving positive shifts in overall workplace culture and practices.
Deliver authoritative technical and professional advice on complex employee relations matters, guaranteeing full compliance with policy, legislation, and industry best practice.
Direct the employee performance management cycle, providing essential feedback, conducting assessments, and offering structured coaching and mentoring to maximize staff potential.
Provide sound, practical advice on workplace conditions and policy-related queries, and actively support the successful implementation of all finalized policies and frameworks.
Expertly understand, interpret, and apply relevant HR legislation within the Australian Public Service (APS) context, including the Public Service Act and Enterprise Agreement.
Possess advanced expertise in utilizing MS Project combined with exceptional scheduling skills to manage initiatives effectively.
