We are on the lookout for a Team Leader to guide a team of HR Advisors in delivering both operational and advisory HR services within a Queensland public sector setting.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll ensure the smooth running of staffing movements, payroll, and leave processes in partnership with a shared services provider. You’ll also play a key role in providing high-level advice, driving process improvements, and supporting workforce management through data and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support HR advisory team delivering day-to-day operational services.
Oversee end-to-end payroll, leave, and staffing processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Maintain strong quality control processes to uphold data integrity across systems.
Advise employees and managers on entitlements, HR policies, and industrial relations.
Prepare and analyse HR reports using Aurion and Excel to support strategic decisions.
Identify and implement improvements across systems and processes, with a focus on efficiency and automation.
Draft high-quality written documents, including policies, submissions, reports, and procedures.
Collaborate with senior HR leaders on projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements:
Demonstrated experience leading HR operations within a government or shared services environment.
Solid understanding of Queensland public sector directives, policies, and industrial frameworks.
Proven capability in managing high-volume HR processes while maintaining service excellence.
Strong proficiency in HRIS (Aurion highly regarded) and Excel for data and reporting.
