• Build trusted relationships with managers and employees.
• Provide expert HR consultation to align divisional strategies with HR objectives.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle (talent acquisition, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, training, employee relations and industrial relations - union dealings).
• Support employee wellbeing and manage change processes.
• Undertake the effective case management of employee and industrial relations matters
• Managing employee grievances and disputes, working to resolve issues through mediation, negotiation, or other appropriate methods.
• Liaise with unions.
• Implement people strategy initiatives.
• Manage Work Cover claims, Injury Management and Return to Work.
• Safety (WHS) experience is beneficial.
  
  

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in a HR Business Partner role in a mixed workforce ideally in similar industry transport and logistics and unionised environments with exposure to Enterprise Agreements (EAs).
• Tertiary and/or higher education qualification (certificate/diploma minimum) in HR or related field.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and workplace law.
