This role will be the main point of contact for all people-related matters in South Australia. Reporting to the Operations Manager you’ll work closely with the National People & Culture team to implement initiatives, providing HR support across strategic, advisory, and operational services at all SA sites.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Build trusted relationships with managers and employees.
- Provide expert HR consultation to align divisional strategies with HR objectives.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle (talent acquisition, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, training, employee relations and industrial relations - union dealings).
- Support employee wellbeing and manage change processes.
- Undertake the effective case management of employee and industrial relations matters
- Managing employee grievances and disputes, working to resolve issues through mediation, negotiation, or other appropriate methods.
- Liaise with unions.
- Implement people strategy initiatives.
- Manage Work Cover claims, Injury Management and Return to Work.
- Safety (WHS) experience is beneficial.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in a HR Business Partner role in a mixed workforce ideally in similar industry transport and logistics and unionised environments with exposure to Enterprise Agreements (EAs).
- Tertiary and/or higher education qualification (certificate/diploma minimum) in HR or related field.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and workplace law.
