Your New Role
The Payroll Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees across the organisation. This role ensures compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and internal policies, while delivering excellent customer
service to team members and stakeholders. The Payroll Officer works closely with the Senior Payroll Officer and other team members to maintain payroll systems, resolve queries, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to confidentiality and service excellence.
Your Responsibilities:
... - Complete end-to-end processing of payroll, including accurate calculation of pay, allowances, deductions, and entitlements.
- Review and verify payroll data, timesheets, and leave records.
- Maintain accurate employee records within the payroll system.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant awards, enterprise agreements, and legislation, and maintain up-to-date regulatory knowledge (Fair Work, ATO).
- Respond to all payroll-related enquiries from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner, providing clear and accurate information.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to payroll processes, efficiency, and documentation.
- Participate in team initiatives and contribute to documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Complete all mandatory Compliance Training and adhere to all company Health & Safety responsibilities and requirements.
- Undertake other duties as directed, including coverage of leave periods.
