... The Role
Managing a headcount of 300+ employees across both Monthly and Weekly pay cycles, you will take full ownership of the payroll function. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and administering all payroll aspects related to complex employee transitions and lifecycle changes for a diverse workforce.
- Performing end-to-end payroll processing with high attention to detail, ensuring all staff are paid accurately and on time.
- Interpreting and applying multiple Modern Awards and EBAs to ensure strict industrial compliance.
- Executing higher-level duties, including the generation of detailed payroll reports and data analysis for senior management.
- Applying expert knowledge to accurately calculate complex final entitlements and settlement figures, ensuring strict associated regulatory and tax compliance.
- Collaborating with the broader finance team, with the scope to take on additional responsibilities beyond payroll for those interested in expanding their skillset.
About You
- Mid-level experience with a proven track record in end-to-end payroll processing.
- Demonstrated experience managing Awards and Enterprise Agreements (EBAs) within the Australian legislative framework.
- A "system-savvy" mindset; experience with Tier-1 or Tier-2 HRIS/Payroll systems is highly regarded.
- The ability to work on-site in Nunawading and manage the demands of a standalone desk.
- A proactive approach to compliance and data integrity, particularly regarding STP Phase 2 requirements.
