As the Payroll Officer, you will support the management of the organisation's payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely payment for more than 1000 headcount across three distinct pay runs. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will be a pivotal part of the Finance team, helping to maintain data integrity and ensuring compliance in an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.
... The Role
- Assisting in End-to-End Processing and the coordination of the entire Australian and New Zealand payroll function, including STP submissions.
- Managing Superannuation, Payroll Tax, and WorkCover while ensuring adherence to legislative changes.
- Assisting with Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations in Blackline and reconciling Novated Leases.
- Applying expert knowledge to accurately calculate complex final entitlements and settlement figures, ensuring strict associated regulatory and tax compliance.
About You
- Minimum 3 years in a similar end-to-end payroll role.
- Functional experience with Chris21 is highly ideal; exposure to other tier-one systems is a significant advantage.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential for complex reconciliations and data analysis.
- Comprehensive understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including Single Touch Payroll (STP) Phase 2.
- Strong deductive reasoning and the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities without loss of composure.
