We are partnering with a large consulting company supporting a federal agency to deliver a critical v12 to v19 Oracle upgrade. This is a high impact role sitting at the centre of a major data infrastructure transformation.
You will take ownership of database performance, availability and security, working closely with developers and system administrators to ensure a smooth and stable upgrade.
What you will be doing:
- Lead installation, configuration and upgrade of Oracle 12c to 19c
- Manage and optimise Oracle RAC and Data Guard environments
- Execute backup and recovery strategies using RMAN
- Monitor performance and implement tuning strategies
- Ensure database security and compliance with federal standards
- Support application deployment during upgrade activities
- Maintain documentation, standards and governance controls
- Collaborate across infrastructure and development teams
What you will bring:
- 5+ years as an Oracle DBA in complex enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of Oracle 12c and 19c architecture
- Hands on experience with RAC, Data Guard and RMAN
- Solid SQL and PL/SQL capability
- Unix or Linux administration experience
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical capability
- AGSVA baseline clearance (minimum)
- Oracle OCP certification highly regarded
