Ongoing Skilled Industrial Services Labourers - Garden Island Sydney Location - Start Date End of June TBA
Are you a skilled and reliable labourer with the necessary tickets and experience in industrial cleaning and waste management, seeking consistent ongoing work in a unique maritime environment within Sydney? We have multiple opportunities for dedicated individuals to join our team providing essential services at a key Sydney location that requires specific island access.
These are ongoing positions with work availability that will vary depending on operational schedules. This offers flexibility for those who can adapt to fluctuating work times. The start date will be the end of June 2025, still To Be Advised (TBA).
Pay Rate: $38.62 to $43.20 per hour (depending on experience)
The Role:
As a Skilled Industrial Services Labourer, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating high-pressure hoses and pumps for industrial cleaning tasks.
- Utilizing vacuum trucks for waste removal and management.
- Performing industrial high-pressure cleaning of various surfaces and equipment.
- Conducting de-watering operations, including cleaning trucks that pump, treat, and recirculate water.
- Other general labouring tasks as required to support the maintenance and repair of maritime vessels and related infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Current Driver’s License (Essential)
- Current Sydney Water Confined Space Ticket WHSMS0068 (Essential)
- Current Working at Heights Ticket (Essential)
- Hepatitis A & B and Tetanus vaccinations (Required)
- Current First Aid Certificate (Required)
- Current DCAC (Defence Common Access Card) Pass for island access (Advantageous)
- HR License (Advantageous)
- Previous experience operating high-pressure hoses and pumps.
- Experience using vacuum trucks.
- Previous experience in industrial high-pressure cleaning and de-watering is advantageous.
- Physically fit and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Unwavering commitment to safety procedures.
- Ability to work flexibly, adapting to varying work schedules based on operational needs.
- Ability to pass a physical fitness assessment, drug and alcohol test.
