This is an exciting, rare opportunity where you will take technical ownership of the development cycle - transforming bespoke concepts into high-performing products for major QSR, foodservice, and industrial clients
What You’ll Do
- Innovate & Commercialise: Develop and reformulate bespoke recipes, scaling products from initial concept through to pilot and factory trials.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with ingredient and packaging suppliers to source new solutions, improve product performance, and drive cost-effective innovation.
- Customer-Centric Development: Work closely with Sales and Marketing to enhance home brand categories and meet specific client briefs.
- Technical Ownership: Manage formulations, BOMs, batch sheets, and specifications using Ostendo and FoodWorks.
- Quality Assurance: Act as the primary custodian for shelf-life testing and apply advanced food technology to ensure product scalability and quality.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a proactive, "can-do" professional who balances technical expertise with a strong commercial lens.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in the food industry, with at least 3 years specifically in NPD.
- Education: A Degree in Food Science or Food Technology is highly preferred.
- Sector Knowledge: Proven experience delivering for QSR or industrial customers and a deep understanding of ingredient functionality.
- Tech Savvy: High proficiency in ERP systems (Ostendo or similar), nutritional software (FoodWorks), and advanced Excel.
- Soft Skills: You are a confident communicator who is organized, disciplined, and comfortable working at pace across multiple projects.
