About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial, you will independently manage network access coordination for transmission projects across the Pilbara. Your role will encompass overseeing new connection requests, ensuring cost-effective and technically sound solutions that comply with industry regulations and internal policies. You will be the vital link between internal teams, external customers, and regional regulatory bodies, ensuring smooth and efficient network access processes.

- Lead planning, assessment, and execution of new connection requests, ensuring alignment with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and internal processes

Engage with the Pilbara Independent System Operator (ISO) and regional regulators to ensure compliance with all applicable policies, guidelines, and network rules
Provide commercial oversight of the Pilbara Network Access Code (PNAC) and Pilbara Network Rules (PNR), ensuring cost recovery, fair pricing, and economic feasibility of new connections
Coordinate technical due diligence for new connections alongside the Engineering Lead
Collaborate with development, engineering, planning, and commercial teams to deliver efficient and technically sound connections
Represent the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, and government departments, acting as a key point of contact to facilitate smooth engagement and clear communication
Your Background:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Law, Commerce, or a related discipline
- Extensive commercial experience in a similar role within renewables or power generation sectors
- Strong contract management and negotiation skills
- Proven experience managing network access within the power generation sector, with familiarity with the Pilbara regulatory framework
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a strong attention to detail
