Your new role
Your role as National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the sales strategy, particularly for pharmacy channels through the sales team. Managing a team of eight you across Australia, your core responsibility will be to successfully lead a sales team, develop market share winning strategies and implement these all the way through to execution.
The National Sales Manager is a key member of the Leadership Team and contributes to the wider business strategy, including hospital and surgical distributors, marketing strategies and future partnership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and implementation of business sales strategies to achieve desired sales targets and objectives, based on analysis of internal and external data sources.
- Recruitment, development and motivation of the sales team; ensuring implementation and living off the organisation's sales Excellence framework thereby ensuring Key Performance Indicators parameters are met/exceeded.
- Build a performance-based culture and Sales Incentive scheme; where performance is not only measured by what the individual achieves but also how they achieve it.
- Regular coaching days with the sales team members to provide constructive feedback and offer development opportunities.
- Maximise the efficiency of the sales team by encouraging and rewarding performers as well as taking necessary action in cases of under-performance, in consultation with the Country Manager.
- Continually assess competency levels within the team for development planning purposes. Refresh and maintain product, therapy, sales knowledge, marketing initiatives via national sales meetings.
- Ensure regular customer visits & build a base of KOL’s. Nurture and sustain relationships with these identified KOL’s in respective channels.
- Ensuring all activities within the sales team are compliant with legal requirements and company guidelines. Ensures all staff are trained and regularly updated on compliance requirements.
- Relationship management with all CSO wholesalers to ensure compliance to agreements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes
- Active management of top tier pharmacy accounts for ranging, recommendation and programs
- Coach and mentor sales reps to manage second and third tier pharmacy accounts.
Your skills and experience
- Degree in Business, Marketing or Medicine, preferably with a Master’s in Business Administration.
- Minimum 7+ years’ working experience or above in OTC & Healthcare industry; preferably with managerial experience within a multinational company.
- Proven ability to lead cross functional teams, as well as network internally and externally.
- Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy
- High level of financial and business acumen
