Join a high-profile integrated resort group and work on iconic Sydney-based entertainment and hospitality projects. We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer with solid on-site delivery experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to manage services contractors from installation through to commissioning.
This is a rare opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects across building systems, central energy infrastructure, and critical mechanical assets—while shaping exceptional guest environments. The first work in the program is a multi-floor de-humidification & energy efficiency project.
What you’ll be doing:
- Oversee the delivery and installation of Mechanical systems, including HVAC, hydraulics, fire protection, BMS, kitchen exhaust, smoke management and central energy plant systems.
- Coordinate contractor activities on-site to ensure progress, quality and safety are maintained.

Conduct regular site inspections, monitor construction, and resolve technical challenges in real time.
Provide technical support across design interpretation, equipment selection, and compliance requirements.Prepare project reports, technical documentation, and assist with tender and procurement packages.Ensure all mechanical systems are installed in line with regulations, codes, and industry best practice.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to keep timelines on track and workflows efficient.The scope includes:
- HVAC (Chilled Water, VRF, DX)
Hydraulics and Sanitary Systems - Fire Protection Systems
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Smoke & Kitchen Exhaust Systems
- Central Energy Plant Equipment
- Vertical Transportation Interfaces
About you:
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience delivering building services systems—ideally on major construction or refurbishment projects in commercial, entertainment or hospitality sectors.
Strong understanding of site-level delivery, mechanical services coordination, and contractor supervision. - Able to work independently, troubleshoot on-site issues, and drive project outcomes.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit (or able to interpret shop drawings and models effectively).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a practical, solution-focused mindset.

This role is offered as a 12 month engagement, possibly longer and/or a permanent job opportunity. Day rate is negotiable in line with experience.
