This role is ideal for a mechanic who enjoys proactive maintenance on modern fleets, ensuring peak performance and reliability. We require a minimum 3-month commitment, with the potential for permanent employment.
As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you'll be primarily responsible for the systematic servicing and maintenance of a fleet of new trucks. This is a hands-on role where your precision and attention to detail will ensure these new vehicles remain in top operational condition.
Responsibilities:
- Performing routine servicing and preventative maintenance on new heavy diesel trucks.
- Conducting thorough inspections and diagnostic checks to identify potential issues early.
- Completing scheduled maintenance tasks, fluid changes, and filter replacements.
- Proficiently handling oil changes and lubrication processes.
- Adjusting and calibrating systems to optimise vehicle performance.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Maintaining accurate service records and documentation.
Schedule:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Shift Time: 12:30 PM to 10:00 PM (Afternoon Shift)
What We're Looking For:
- Australian Recognised Mechanic Trade Licence.
- Experience with dropping oil and performing comprehensive lubrication on heavy or light vehicles.
- Experience with servicing vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a focus on preventative maintenance.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Reliable and a strong team player.
