Randstad is seeking a qualified and experienced maintenance trades person to join our client in the southern suburbs!
Key Duties
... - undertake general maintenance of all school buildings, properties and grounds.
- undertake minor renovations to school buildings including classrooms, offices, boarding and residential properties.
- repair furniture and fittings and undertake small furniture manufacture or fabrication.
- undertake minor building project construction.
- relieve and assist other members of the Building and Grounds Department.
- assist in the set-up of school functions, meetings and classrooms.
Successful Candidates will have:
- experience working across multiple trades.
- demonstrated experience in carpentry or a similar industry.
- demonstrated knowledge of relevant WHS issues
- strong and clear communication skills
- solutions-focussed, positive and collaborative approach
- willingness and ability to undertake the moderate physical demands of the position
- basic computer literacy
- current Working with Children Check and driver’s licence
- current or willingness to obtain Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (previously Reporting Abuse and Neglect) Training certification and First Aid qualifications.
