We are seeking a Mainframe RACF Senior Security Consultant with extensive experience in the technology industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a security analyst role focused on mainframe systems, with a deep understanding of RACF. This is an opportunity to leverage your technical expertise to implement robust security strategies, manage risk, and contribute to significant projects.
Required Experience & Skills
- RACF Security: Advanced expertise in RACF security.
- Mainframe Technologies: Over 10 years of experience in a security analyst role with a focus on mainframes. A minimum of 7 years of overall relevant business experience is required.
- Coding & Programming:
- Advanced JCL (Job Control Language) coding experience.
- Advanced SAS (Statistical Analysis System) programming expertise.
- Experience with ISPF (Interactive System Productivity Facility) and ISPF Dialogue Management Services.
- Familiarity with SDSF (Spool Display Search Facility).
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Assembler, PL1, or Cobol.
- Risk & Compliance: A strong background in audit, risk, and controls. You should have a sound understanding of risk management, standard operating procedures, and the policies and regulations governing technology and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Solutions: Use your technical expertise and judgement to define and implement solutions that support business needs and contribute to the design specifications of major computer systems.
- Security Best Practices: Provide and enforce security best practices in all daily tasks.
- Process Improvement: Actively identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and risk reduction across our mainframe computing environment.
- Risk Management: Identify, report, and implement risk remediation tasks as appropriate.
- Collaboration: Build effective relationships with internal teams and provide consultative guidance on the execution of technical strategies. You will also interact with audit and compliance personnel and deliver remediation as required.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide subordinate staff.
- Project Contribution: Contribute to project work and support the delivery of key initiatives.
