About the Role
This Para Broker position is a key support function, essential for ensuring the smooth progression of all lending deals. The successful candidate will work closely with highly successful brokers, acting as a crucial interface between clients, lenders, and partners.
Key Responsibilities include:
Loan Submission Expertise: Assisting with the meticulous preparation, quality checking, and submission of both residential and commercial loan applications.
Stakeholder Liaison: Managing timely and professional correspondence with clients, lenders, and referral partners to ensure a streamlined loan process from application through to settlement.
Documentation Mastery: Requesting, collecting, and expertly reviewing all necessary documentation for loan submissions, pre-approvals, and settlements.
Analysis & Assessment: Conducting detailed loan comparisons, borrowing capacity assessments, and basic scenario analysis to support broker recommendations.
Compliance Support: Providing critical support with research, product comparisons, and maintaining rigorous compliance documentation.
Team Collaboration: Contributing to internal knowledge sharing and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
This role requires specific, relevant experience to ensure immediate effectiveness. Only applicants with the following background will be considered:
Prior Experience is Essential: Proven, direct experience in loan writing, credit support, loan packaging, or loan processing gained within a mortgage broking firm or similar third-party lending support environment.
Broking Software Proficiency: Confident command of industry-standard broker and loan processing software (e.g., Mercury, ApplyOnline, or equivalent platforms).
Financial Document Fluency: A confident and accurate understanding of complex financial documents, including payslips, tax returns, and financial statements, as required for loan applications.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on accuracy and a proven ability to manage multiple, high-stakes loan files concurrently in a deadline-driven setting.
Highly Regarded: Exposure to commercial or business lending will be a significant advantage.
