Your New Role
As a Legal Secretary in the dynamic Wills & Estates team, you'll be a vital part of a collaborative and experienced group of professionals. My client is seeking a professional to join their team on a full-time basis in their Newcastle office. In this role, you’ll not only use your existing skills but also have the opportunity to develop them further, supported by a firm that truly values your career aspirations.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting with Wills & Estates: From preparing Wills and Powers of Attorney to drafting EPOA’s, you will play a crucial role in creating essential estate planning documents and associated statements.
Mastering Document Management: Efficiently word-process, type, and collate a wide range of correspondence and documents. You'll be skilled in amending and formatting documents quickly and accurately, often from digital dictation.
Handling Administrative Functions: Manage all aspects of file administration, including opening new files, preparing costs letters, and archiving completed files.
Financial Processes: Generate trust and office receipts and handle cheque requisitions.
Organisational Support: Proactively manage and maintain calendars, monitor client timeframes, and provide timely reminders to ensure everything runs smoothly.

My client is looking for a self-starter with strong experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within a Wills & Estates practice. You'll have a demonstrated understanding of legal terminology and procedures, excellent interpersonal skills, and the initiative to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
