A leading global financial institution is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Legal team, supporting its Capital Markets business across the Asia-Pacific region. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in a high-performing legal function operating across jurisdictions including Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and China.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic legal advice on capital markets transactions and regulatory developments.

• Advise business leaders during early-stage decision-making and strategy implementation.

• Identify and manage legal and regulatory risk, escalating where necessary.

• Support cross-border transactions and initiatives across a matrixed, global environment.

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, regulators, and external counsel.

About You:

• Minimum 5 years’ post-admission experience, ideally gained in a top-tier law firm or in-house within financial services.

• Qualified in Australia, Hong Kong, or England & Wales.

• Expertise in capital markets, particularly fixed income, debt, and/or structured products.

• Sound understanding of banking and financial services regulation across the region.

• Excellent communication skills and commercial acumen.

• Adaptable, collaborative, and able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
