Junior Project Manager – SAP Programs

A consulting business is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of SAP HANA programs across complex enterprise environments. This role is ideal for an early-career project professional looking to build hands-on delivery experience within a structured consulting and governance framework.
The role is open to candidates based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Canberra, with an expectation to work onsite in the closest office 2–3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Support the planning and execution of SAP HANA implementation or upgrade projects
Maintain project schedules, task lists, RAID logs, resource plans, and status reports
Coordinate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder communications
Track progress against project plans and escalate risks or delays to senior project managers
Support financial tracking activities, including time reporting and basic budget oversight
Assist with change request documentation and change control processes
Manage project documentation and ensure compliance with governance and audit requirements
Liaise with technical teams to collect updates on deliverables, risks, and dependencies
Support testing coordination, cutover planning, and deployment readiness activities
Contribute to quality assurance by ensuring alignment with project standards and templates
Skills and Experience
Experience supporting or coordinating IT or ERP projects, ideally within SAP environments
Understanding of core project management principles including scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholders
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to manage documentation and communicate effectively with technical and business teams
Familiarity with common project tools such as Excel, SharePoint, and scheduling or reporting tools
Willingness to learn and develop delivery capability under guidance
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Business, IT, Project Management, or a related discipline
Project management certification or study (e.g. PRINCE2 Foundation, CAPM) is desirable
Security Requirements
Australian Citizenship is required
Baseline Security Clearance is mandatory
NV1 clearance is highly regarded
