IT Support Technician (Level 1) | ~$450/day + Super | Contract to Jan 2027 | Melbourne CBD | Hybrid
A large organisation is looking for a hands-on IT Support Technician to join their digital support team on a contract basis through to January 2027. You'll be delivering front-line technical support across hardware, software, network and collaboration tools, both virtually and on-site. If you're a solid L1 tech with good customer service instincts and a ServiceNow background, this one's worth a look.
What you'll be doing:
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network and collaboration issues
- Logging and managing tickets in ServiceNow, keeping notes accurate and up to date
- Delivering support via phone, chat, video and in person at CBD offices
- Escalating complex issues to higher-level support where needed
- Contributing to knowledge base articles and support documentation
- Educating end-users on digital tools and services
What we're looking for:
- Solid L1 support experience, both virtual and on-site
- Hands-on with Active Directory, Entra, Intune and SCCM
- Comfortable with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Teams and SharePoint
- Familiarity with network fundamentals (Wi-Fi, IP addressing, basic troubleshooting)
- Experience with ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM platform
- ITIL v4 Foundation or equivalent practical experience
- Strong communicator who can translate technical issues for non-technical users
- Certificate/Diploma in IT or equivalent practical experience
