Systems Administrator Microsoft based Cloud/On Prem environment, based in the South Eastern Suburbs. Systems Administrator is currently required to join a local council based in the South Eastern Suburbs to support and enhance Microsoft based infrastructure. This role is crucial for ensuring the secure, stable, and efficient operation of the hybrid environment, which includes on-premises systems, Microsoft 365, Azure, and modern endpoint management. You will be responsible for advanced technical support, contributing to critical technology projects, and maintaining system performance through proactive monitoring and lifecycle management. Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Operations and Administration: Implement, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, storage, and virtualisation technologies.
- Cloud and Endpoint Management: Manage and administer Microsoft 365 and Azure environments (including user provisioning, licensing, and mail services). Utilise Microsoft Intune to develop and deploy configuration profiles, software packages, and compliance policies for endpoint systems.
- Project and Improvement Activities: Contribute to the delivery of infrastructure and technology-related projects (configuration, testing, deployment, documentation). Identify opportunities for system or process improvement within the infrastructure environment.
To be successful in this position you will be an experienced Systems Administrator who has solid experience in the administration, configuration and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure systems including Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, storage systems, and virtualisation technologies. You will also have demonstrated ability to administer cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Azure, including user management and service configuration.
