About the Role
As an Electrical Tradesperson, you will:
Carry out preventative, breakdown, and routine maintenance tasks on a wide range of plant equipment and systems.
Work alongside mechanical trades, non-trades staff, and management to ensure high plant reliability, safety, and performance.
Identify and implement process improvements and support minor capital projects.
Use diagnostic tools, including Allen Bradley PLCs and SAP CMMS, to troubleshoot and maintain systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, QA, OH&S, and external contractors.
... Key Responsibilities
Perform electrical maintenance on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Support both planned and reactive maintenance activities across the site.
Promote and practice safe work procedures in compliance with WHS and company policies.
Communicate effectively with maintenance, production, QA, and safety teams.
Provide technical guidance to junior team members and participate in upskilling and mentoring.
Maintain accurate records through our SAP-based maintenance system.
Participate in equipment inspections, RCA investigations, and contribute to reliability improvement initiatives.
What You'll Need to Succeed
A recognised electrical trade qualification (Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent).
Post-trade experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting – ideally food processing.
Solid understanding of electrical safety, maintenance systems, and automation.
Experience with PLCs (especially Allen Bradley) and using CMMS tools (e.g. SAP).
Ability to work autonomously and within a team, managing multiple priorities.
Strong communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
Knowledge of OH&S regulations and the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
