Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of ICT projects in line with government policies and frameworks (e.g. PGPA Act, Digital Service Standard).
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including business analysts, solution architects, developers, and external vendors.
- Develop and maintain detailed project documentation including schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports.
- Manage stakeholder expectations across government departments, ensuring transparent communication and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to change management and procurement processes within a government context.
- Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as required to achieve desired outcomes.
Skills required:
- Experience (7+ years) managing ICT projects in the public sector, ideally within an Australian Government department or agency.
- Strong understanding of ICT delivery frameworks, Agile and/or PRINCE2 methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to navigate government procurement, compliance, and reporting requirements.
Desirable skills:
- Experience running projects against PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight strategies and frameworks.
