An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly capable and experienced ICT Portfolio Delivery Manager (PDM) to join a major Australian organisation based in Brisbane. This key role sits within the Organisational Services area, dedicated to driving the successful delivery of a significant Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Program of Work (PoW).

This role is pivotal. You will be accountable for leading, directing, and assuring the successful delivery of a subset of the ICT PoW—a portfolio of complex, large-scale projects. You won't just be managing projects; you'll be managing delivery, people, and expectations in a dynamic and enterprise-scale environment.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Leadership & Assurance: Own the planning, prioritisation, and successful delivery of your allocated project portfolio, ensuring alignment with endorsed governance frameworks and successful outcomes within agreed scope, budget, and timeframes.
People Management: Lead, coach, mentor, and performance manage a team of 15-25 Project Managers (PMs) and Project Co-ordinators (PCs). You will be responsible for forward resource demand and actively managing team performance.
Stakeholder Management: Manage expectations and maintain strong relationships with Project Owners (POs), business representatives, and executive stakeholders, acting as the Senior Supplier at Project Control Groups (PCGs).
Risk & Governance: Drive portfolio performance through rigorous assurance activities, ensuring the accurate management of risks, issues, schedules, and cost plans. You'll be the escalation point and recovery strategist for challenging projects.
🌟 What You'll Bring
Extensive Experience: Demonstrated, extensive experience in complex ICT project and program management within a large, enterprise environment.
Leadership Acumen: Proven success in leading and managing sizeable, multi-disciplinary ICT teams involved in delivering complex, transformational projects.
Program Expertise: Substantial experience in providing strategic advice across financial management, risk management, resource management, and a deep understanding of program/project methodologies (e.g., PMBok, PRINCE2, or Agile).
Influence & Negotiation: Superior ability to negotiate, influence, and manage complex issues with both internal and external stakeholders, including Tier 1 Vendors.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) is expected.
