Randstad Recruitment has partnered with a Tier 1 industry leader in Commercial Construction and Development, seeking a HSEQ Advisor to join the team on a permanent basis working across Health, Education, and Defense large scale commercial developments.
In the role of a Site HSEQ Advisor, you will play a critical role to the project management team in ensuring the upkeep of health, safety, and environmental compliances, provide industry expert advice, as well as, develop, redevelop, and deliver comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety programs, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees.
Remuneration & Incentives:
- Up to $160K + Super
- Additional Annual Leave - In accordance with years of service
- Health and Wellness Leave - In addition to Annual Leave
- Weekly Lunches - For onsite and office staff
Duties:
- Liaise and report with members of project & HSEQ management
- Support Project and Site Management with the implementation of HSE systems and processes
- Ensure the implementation of WHS & Environment protocols to maintain compliance with current legislation
- Monitor and ensure high risk works are carried out in accordance with WHS governance
- Provide industry expert advice on WHS objectives and strategies to project teams
- Provide training and development guidance to on-site teams
- Promote and champion a strong safety culture within the workplace to improve HSE outcomes
- Complete regular on-site inspections, manage risk assessments, and auditing to ensure a safe working environment and reduce potential risks
- Investigate WHS incidents and implement appropriate actions to ensure non-recurrence
- Manage and complete daily pre-start and toolbox talks
Certification & Experience:
- 3+ Years Site Based HSEQ Experience
- Previous experience in multi-story commercial construction
- Previous experience in Tier 1 Commercial Construction (Highly Desirable)
- Comprehensive understanding of WHS Legislation
- Strong Aptitude for relationship development and management
- Vocational or Tertiary qualification in Safety (Minimum of Cert IV)
- Open Driver’s License
- General Construction Induction “White Card”
- Full Working Rights within Australia
