Randstad Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading Developer/Builder undertaking works in the Brisbane region. With recent project growth, an opportunity has arisen for a dedicated HSEQ Advisor to join the team. Specialising in property development across commercial/residential mid-high rise construction, our client is a key player in changing the Brisbane landscape.
In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the upkeep of health, safety, and environmental compliances, provide industry expert advice, as well as, develop and deliver comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety programs, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees and contractors.
Duties:
- Provide legislative and regulatory guidance on all issues pertaining to health, safety, environment, and quality, to uphold compliance with current QLD WHS legislation
- Oversee day-to-day on site safety processes and interact/communicate with other stakeholders and delegates as required
- Ensure safety systems and softwares across the business are implemented properly, and delegates are utilising them efficiently to maintain system compliance
- Provide industry expert advice on WHS objectives and strategies to project teams and implement changes if and when required
- Provide training and development guidance to on-site teams
- Promote and champion a strong safety culture within the workplace to improve HSEQ outcomes
- Complete regular on-site inspections, manage risk assessments, and auditing to ensure a safe working environment and reduce potential risks
- Investigate WHS incidents and implement appropriate actions to ensure non-recurrence
- Conduct daily pre-start and toolbox talks
- Document and report points of concern and implement appropriate actions to remediate said concerns
Certification & Experience:
- 5+ Years HSEQ Experience in Mid-High Rise Construction
- Previous experience with direct on site safety management
- Comprehensive understanding of WHS Legislation
- Cert IV in WHS (Minimum)
- General Construction Induction “White Card”
- Full Working Rights within Australia
- Incident Investigation Training
