A prominent public sector organisation dedicated to serving a vibrant community in South-East Queensland, is seeking a highly organised and customer-focused People Services Officer to join their team for a 3-month assignment.
This is a pivotal role within the Corporate Services department, specifically within the People and Culture branch, where you will provide high-quality, timely, and customer-focused support across the full range of People and Culture operations. As part of a shared services model, this role is crucial in delivering accurate, agile, and consistent people services that enhance the overall employee experience. Key Responsibilities
Working collaboratively with the People and Culture team and internal stakeholders, your portfolio will include, but not be limited to:
- Act as the initial contact for people services enquiries, providing professional, customer-focused, and solutions-oriented support.
- Provide day-to-day support across the employee lifecycle, focusing on recruitment and onboarding and employment variations.
- Provide accurate and consistent information on People and Culture policies, processes, and procedures.
- Process employee information and data entry into people systems, maintaining the integrity and security of all employee records.
- Work with the Remuneration and Benefits team to ensure alignment between people transactions and payroll processing.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following essential skills and experience:
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience providing administrative or HR support services in a busy, customer-focused environment.
- HR Knowledge: Sound understanding of HR processes, employee lifecycle management, and data integrity requirements.
- Detail and Accuracy: Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Systems Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using people or HR systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Essential: Certificate III in Business Administration, People and Culture, or equivalent relevant experience in a corporate or public-sector environment.
- Essential: A "C" class Driver's Licence.
