We are looking for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is ready to deliver an integrated, value-add service to health employees and clinicians.
Key Role Essentials
The HR Consultant will provide comprehensive HR advisory services across the entire employee lifecycle.
Technical HR Delivery & Advisory
...Provide accurate, high-volume HR service, documentation, and advice in accordance with service parameters
Offer expert interpretation of awards and policies.
Manage key employee relations issues, including informal grievance resolution advice, change management activities, and performance management.
Handle recruitment and selection processes, fitness for work matters, and compliance activities.
Contribute to the development of HR services and tools that continuously improve workforce performance.
Business Partnering & Collaboration
Engage with and build partnering relationships with key customers, providing a customised service aligned with specific business requirements.
Contribute to coaching and mentoring activities for managers to develop their people management expertise.
Collaborate effectively with service counterparts (e.g., OSH, L&D) and client HR teams to ensure prompt resolution and provide an overall value-add HR service.
What We Are Looking For (Essential Skills & Experience)
The ideal candidate blends technical expertise with strategic influence and a strong customer focus.
Experience Level: Demonstrated knowledge and solid experience in providing end-to-end recruitment support and advice to multiple stakeholders, coupled with 2+ years of experience as an HR Officer/Consultant with a strong administrative background.
Local Expertise: Minimum of one year of local WA HR experience.
Policy & Case Management: General experience with coaching managers on the interpretation of policies, procedures, and agreements, including Case Management experience related to low-level grievances and fitness-for-duty enquiries.
Organisational Agility: Proven ability to thrive within a large, fast-paced, complex organisation.
Strategic & Innovative Thinking: Demonstrates forward thinking, can think clearly amid ambiguity and multiple priorities , and displays flexibility and creative problem-solving skills. Must be comfortable and able to manage ambiguity.
Customer Centricity: Ability to build relationships, establish personal credibility, and demonstrate HR expertise to consistently deliver high-quality and efficient customer service.
Process Excellence: High-level ability to utilise and quickly adapt to new HR processes and technology with ease.
Qualifications: Hold or be working towards a tertiary level qualification in a relevant discipline or possess demonstrated equivalence in experience.
Sector Flexibility: Healthcare experience is not required.
Availability: Must be able to work full-time on-site from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM to meet contractual requirements.
Location & Requirements
Location: Based at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Western Australia.
Checks/Compliance: Requirement for a Satisfactory National Police Check.
Vaccinations: Must have up-to-date COVID-19, Varicella, MMR, and Pertussis vaccination status.
