About the Role: As a Crane Technician, you will be primarily responsible for the diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and servicing of a diverse fleet of cranes, predominantly Grove, Liebherr, FRanna, Tadano, Kobelco, Manitowoc models. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our equipment, contributing directly to the efficiency of site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on cranes.

• Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing, and critical repairs in adherence to manufacturer specifications and company standards.

• Maintain accurate technical information and records, including creating detailed job cards for all work performed.

• Manage and maintain appropriate stock levels of spare parts, oils, and consumables.

• Schedule and coordinate repairs and servicing activities efficiently to minimize downtime.

• Ensure all work is conducted in strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.

• Collaborate effectively with site personnel and other team members.

Requirements:

• Recognised Trade Qualification in Plant Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, or equivalent.

• 3+ years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics, transport trailers, Earthmoving equipment or similar.

• Good experience with heavy vehicles maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs.

• A strong understanding and adherence to WHS practices and procedures.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and a drug and alcohol screening.

What is being offered:

• Compensation: $6000-7000 per week on 12h/day (depending on the experience and hours) + superannuation

• Tools allowance and FIFO allowance

• Meals provided

• Roster Flexibility: Primarily 3 weeks on, 1 week off roster with potential for 2 weeks on, 1 week off.

• FIFO/DIDO Options: FIFO: Flights provided from Townsville and Brisbane. DIDO: Daily commute from Mackay and close-by areas.
