Randstad Trade and labour is seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic /Diesel Fitter to join a leading trailer and tanker manufacturer based in Melbourne This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern , well equipped workshop with a supportive and skilled team .
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, service, and repair trailers, tankers, and associated systems
Perform maintenance on braking, suspension, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and road worthiness checks
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Work collaboratively within a professional workshop environment
Skills and Experience:
Trades Qualification Diesel Mechanic (certificate III in Heavy commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent )
Proven experience with trailers, tankers, axles, and brake systems
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
Confident communicator with customers and team members
Sound knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Experience with welding , fabrication and trailer component fitting .
Current driver’s licence (HR/HC advantageous)
Positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to quality of work.
