Are you a skilled and compassionate handyman looking for a rewarding, short-term contract? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team for a four-week contract at a local aged care facility.
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks, ensuring residents' living environment is safe, comfortable, and well-maintained. We are looking for someone who is not only skilled in general repairs but also has a patient and respectful demeanor when interacting with the elderly residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repairs including basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
Conduct minor painting, plastering, and touch-ups.
Assemble and install furniture or fixtures as needed.
Complete routine safety checks and address any maintenance issues promptly.
Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
We are looking for someone with:
Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role.
A broad range of skills in general household and building repairs.
A compassionate and respectful attitude towards the elderly.
Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
A current police check or willingness to obtain one.
