About the Role
As a Graphic Design Specialist, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality visual content that supports Brisbane 2032's brand, marketing, and communications activities. Reporting to the Director of Brand and Digital, you will ensure the consistent and creative application of the Brisbane 2032 visual identity across all channels and touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
... - Design and produce creative assets for marketing campaigns, digital platforms, social media, print, and events.
- Support the development and implementation of the Brisbane 2032 visual identity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver design solutions that meet strategic objectives and brand guidelines.
- Create presentations, infographics, and visual storytelling materials for internal and external audiences.
- Assist in the development of branded templates and toolkits.
- Contribute to the creative direction and execution of event branding and signage.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Provide design support for internal communications, staff engagement initiatives, and corporate documents.
- Maintain and organise digital asset libraries.
- Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and technologies.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 6+ years' professional experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects).
- Demonstrated experience leading design projects, including campaign development, brand identity, and large-scale event collateral.
- Deep understanding of branding, typography, layout, and visual storytelling.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Experience mentoring junior designers or contributing to creative direction.
Familiarity with motion graphics, video editing, or UX/UI design is highly desirable. - A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for innovation.
- Tertiary qualification in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.
