Day to Day Responsibilities ...
Supervise and assist in geotechnical investigations
Conduct site investigations including testing such as compaction testing and permeability testing
Investigation planning, subcontractor engagement and management and preparation of lab testing plans
Assist with geotechnical analysis, modelling and desing for slope stability, footings, foundations, pavements and retaining walls
Conduct fieldwork including boreholes, soil sampling, compaction testing and permeability testing
Support a diverse range of projects across residential and commerical construction
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Key Requirements
Experience in geotechnical site investigations and preparation of reports (AS2870 site classifications, footing recommendations, slope stability, etc.)
Strong understanding of residential and small-scale commercial projects
Ability to liaise with builders, architects, and councils to provide clear, practical advice
Proficiency in fieldwork (boreholes, soil sampling, compaction testing, permeability testing) as well as report writing
Relevant engineering qualifications, ideally with CPEng or working towards it
