An exciting opportunity has become available for a technically skilled Financial Accountant to join their well-established and inclusive team. You will play an integral part in a team of professionals who pride themselves on their positive impact in a friendly and supportive environment. This is a 6 month interim opportunity with the possibility of extension for the right individual.
Your New Role
As the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for a broad range of financial and statutory reporting duties. Beyond the day-to-day, you will be a key participant in system process improvements and a global digital transformation project.
Your key responsibilities will include:
... Preparation of annual statutory reports and managing compliance matters.
Assisting with the preparation of monthly and yearly Balance Sheet reconciliations, including payroll ledgers, fixed assets, and prepayments.
Managing Fixed Assets reporting.
Reporting monthly financial results into consolidation systems.
Conducting periodical reporting and analysis using tools like Power BI.
Reviewing Intercompany (ICP) reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies.
Assisting with annual Income Tax reconciliations and the preparation of BAS, IAS, and FBT.
Raising purchase orders and providing backup support for billing and debt collection.
Ideal candidate
To be successful in this position we are looking for:
CA or CPA qualified.
A minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience.
Experience in public practice (Big 4 or mid-tier) will be highly regarded.
Proven ability to prepare financial statements, BAS, IAS, and FBT.
Medium-to-Advanced MS Excel skills are essential, D365 and SAP experience highly desirable.
A demonstrated innovative and digital mindset.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
An adaptable, resilient, and focused attitude, with the ability to take ownership and deliver outcomes in a complex environment.
