This newly created position supports the finance team in delivering accurate and timely management and financial reporting. The role involves preparing month-end journals, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and managing project claims.
Team Structure & Culture:
The successful candidate will work alongside a Financial Lead, Accountant, and Assistant Accountant. The environment is collaborative, yet requires someone confident to work independently once settled. A proactive approach, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail are essential, particularly given the role’s heavy use of Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
Collating and processing client claims within tight deadlines
Preparing journals, cost allocations, and cost transfers
Assisting with reporting and reconciliation tasks
Supporting process improvements and maintaining documentation
Communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers and clients
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience in project accounting, cost control, financial reconciliations, and claims
Strong Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF)
Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a finance/project environment
CA/CPA qualified or currently working towards qualification
SAP experience is a plus
This role is not focused on accounts payable/receivable
Pay Rate: $50–$55/hour + super (depending on experience) + super
