Join our client, a supportive and established national company, in this key Permanent Part-Time role. We are seeking a meticulous and flexible professional to manage core daily and monthly finance tasks, based in the South-Eastern suburbs.
About the role
This role is designed for a dedicated professional seeking 2-3 days (approximately 20 hours) of work per week. While the hours outside of month-end are flexible based on workload, you must be available to work on the last day and the first two working days of every month to meet strict reporting deadlines.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the duties are primarily focused on maintaining accurate financial records and administration. Key responsibilities will include:
- Daily bank reconciliations and processing customer receipts.
- Managing accounts payable (AP), including weekly payment runs and a crucial monthly overseas payment run.
- Processing AP entry, mainly focusing on shipment and shipment freight invoices.
- Setting up new suppliers and customers accurately within the Pronto system.
- Executing month-end duties, including credit card reconciliations and specific balance sheet (BS) reconciliations related to shipment clean-up processes.
- Providing ad hoc payroll assistance, such as preparing payroll packs and following up on necessary documentation.
- Engaging in supplier communications and general administrative support.
... About you
- Proven experience in a similar finance or accounting administration role (e.g., Accounts Payable, Bookkeeper, or Finance Officer).
- Experience with daily bank reconciliations and managing payment runs.
- Familiarity with setting up customers and suppliers in an ERP system (experience with Pronto is a plus).
- A high degree of accuracy and strong organizational skills, and excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to commit to the specific month-end and start-of-month work schedule.
