About the Opportunity
Randstad is partnering with local organisation based in Geelong to recruit a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Coordinator. This rewarding temporary assignment spans 5 to 6 months, offering a flexible part-time schedule of 0.6 FTE.
Operating within a proactive business partnering framework, you will play an integral role in maintaining financial control, developing comprehensive reports, and supporting key corporate compliance functions. This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities
Working under general direction, the successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio including:
Financial Control & Reporting: Conduct ongoing reviews of financial transactions to ensure correct classifications. Manage invoice verification, bank reconciliations, and provide oversight for purchase orders and corporate credit cards.
Budgeting & Year-End Support: Partner with the senior finance leadership to deliver accurate monthly financial reports and analysis to Executives. Contribute directly to the planning and preparation of the draft and final Annual Budget and year-end financial report processing.
Audit & Compliance: Coordinate data compilation and respond efficiently to requests during mid-year and year-end audits. Assist with grant acquittals and funding administration reports for programs.
Corporate Insurance & Governance: Ensure the timely completion of annual insurance declarations and renewals, alongside periodic reviews of coverage adequacy. Collate and distribute six-monthly declarations and ordinary returns for board members and key management.
Operational Support: Oversee and support the day-to-day management of the administrative team. Maintain accurate record-keeping for fleet vehicles, liaise with fleet management providers, and offer cross-coverage for payroll and finance queries during team absences.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications: A formal qualification in Finance or Accounting is desired. A CA or CPA status is highly preferred.
Technical Expertise: Essential proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Proven capability to transform complex raw data into meaningful, auditable financial reports. Practical experience utilizing accounting and financial software management systems is highly advantageous.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to provide sound financial advice and engage collaboratively across all tiers of a diverse workforce.
Compliance & Onboarding: To be considered, candidates must hold valid Australian work rights. The successful candidate will also be required to undertake a National Police Check and an Employee Victorian Working with Children Check prior to commencement.
