We're currently seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician (Mechanical Fitter) to join this team of 45 field service technicians on the road.
We're looking for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and a natural problem-solving mindset, who is also eager to learn and develop their skills.
Responsibilities:
... - Diagnose and repair a diverse range of material handling and loading dock equipment, including forklifts, dock levellers, and hoists, focusing on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, installations, and scheduled servicing at customer sites and in the workshop.
- Provide on-site customer service, troubleshooting issues, offering technical support, and building strong client relationships.
- Complete accurate documentation of all services performed, including timesheets and maintenance records.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and compliance standards in all work environments.
- Travel regularly to various customer locations in the Gold Coast and Southside of Brisbane.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and potentially provide on-the-job training to less experienced staff.
Requirements:
- You're a qualified Mechanical Fitter or Engineer
- 2+ years of experience as a Field Service Technician OR mechanical fitter
- You have a valid drivers licence
- Excellent collaboration skills
- Valuable: experience in preventive maintenance
What is being on offer:
- Hourly rate: $38-47ph + penalties (according to experience)
- Your shift starts the moment you're on the road at 7:30am
- Overtime + weekends = with penalties
