... They now have a permanent opportunity for a Field Service Representative (Technician) to join their team based in Williamtown, NSW. In this role you will be supporting the development of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Operational Maintenance (OM) Technical workforce, whilst improving the serviceability of the Mission System, providing an on-site first-line interface between the ADF and the company for all Maintenance and Logistics activities.
In addition you will be supporting internal engineering teams with the implementation of electronic/electrical, mechanical and ICT design changes and contributing to engineering team activities in accordance with the requirements of the Management System.
Your new role:
As Field Service Representative you will:
- Provide deeper level system knowledge to assist with fault finding, setup for deployment, and system configuration.
- Mentoring of and technical advice to ADF OM workforce personnel on performance of OM tasks (FSR not to perform any OM maintenance tasks).
- Identify opportunities for maintenance efficiency improvements and advising senior unit maintenance staff (eg SENGO, MAINTO, WOE and SGTs).
- Provide SME advice on the content of Unit raised SCRs
- Provide on-site interface between ADF on-site and off-site technical staff, and Contractor on-site and off-site technical staff.
- Support the ADF and the maintenance and logistics teams to resolve logistics and maintenance issues.
- Be first Point of Contact for the Support Maintenance Helpdesk.
- Local validation of Maintenance Instructions.
- Assist internal Engineers perform on-site Engineering Investigations on the Mission System.
- Provide input to plans for the future development of the Capability.
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you’ll have:
- Relevant Technical Diploma
- Strong technical knowledge of deployable Mission Systems, consisting of Local Area Networks, Voice Communication Systems, Telecommunication Links, ICT Systems and Uninterruptible Power Supplies.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and power distribution.
- Knowledge of computer architecture and networks.
- Knowledge of telecommunication systems, protocols and access requests.
- Understanding of Technical Regulatory Frameworks (TRF).
- Knowledge of electrical systems and power distribution.
- Effective Communication Skills: Articulate communicator with appreciation for different communication styles
- Leadership: Able to lead a small team when required to meet objectives.
- Flexible: Understanding of the need for flexibility in order to support last-minute demands and changes. Comfortable with changing environments and situations, ensuring ability to remain flexible and adaptable.
