The Opportunity
As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Facilities Maintenance contracts across multiple client sites and facilities. Your primary focus will be ensuring the efficient and consistent operation of each facility. You will be the key liaison for contractors, proactively managing all statutory, preventative, and corrective maintenance activities in line with contractual obligations.
This role involves working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including the in-house engineering team, external contractors, clients, and tenants. The ideal candidate will be well-organised, proactive, and possess exceptional communication skills. You must be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a larger team, efficiently multitask, and meet critical deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
... - Manage all statutory, preventative, and corrective maintenance obligations across various facilities and clients.
- Proactively manage maintenance contractors to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and maintain the smooth day-to-day operations of each facility.
- Assist in compiling budgets, forecasting, and reporting for maintenance activities.
- Ensure each building’s energy, service systems, and comfort performance are maintained efficiently and meet client expectations.
- Provide valuable life cycle asset management and maintenance advice across various building services disciplines, utilising in-house resources to deliver quality outcomes for clients.
About you
- Significant industry experience in the Facilities or building services maintenance sector.
- A relevant trade qualification is highly desirable.
- Prior experience with Building Management Control (BMS) systems would be a valuable asset.
- A proactive work ethic that ensures all action items are monitored and completed on time.
- A passion for building performance and its critical role within a Building Services Group.
- Intermediate IT skills are desirable, particularly experience using the Office 365 suite.
