Are you a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter ready for an immediate start on diverse building projects? We're urgently seeking someone for a temporary role.
This role is a diverse range of tasks ranging from fixing a door stop, making an area safe, performing proactive maintenance to major repairs to assets. This is a fantastic chance to showcase your skills, contribute to the maintenance and construction of essential assets, and join a supportive and experienced team in a great working environment.
- Schedule: 9-day fortnight, Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- High-level construction, maintenance, and repairs for diverse structures.This role requires someone with a wealth of experience in carpentry.
- Operational oversight and mentor-ship of apprentice staff.
- Identifying and rectifying issues to ensure buildings are maintained to high standards.
- Ensuring safe, efficient use, storage, and security of all tools and materials.
- Communication and customer service skills. Maintaining excellent relationships with building occupants, staff, and the public.
- Safely towing and assisting with the assembly/dis-assembly of a mobile stage.
- Completing all required reports and adhering to WHS policies and procedures.
- Effective time management skills and ability to determine what jobs are a priority, location of jobs and ability to plan your day accordinly to save time.
Requirements:
- Trade Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent formal training/qualification).
- Current NSW Driver's Licence to drive a company vehicle.
- Demonstrated experience as a Carpenter at an advanced level of knowledge and skills.
- Computuer literate to use App to manage and monitor jobs.
- Highly motivated, reliable, and committed to quality craftsmanship.
- A strong understanding and commitment to WHS responsibilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with staff, public, and stakeholders.
