Responsibilities:- Precision Tendering: Prepare comprehensive tenders and quotations, including taking off quantities for materials and labour.
- Strategic Cost Analysis: Review program requirements and timelines while assessing the necessity of specialist subcontracts and suppliers.
- Financial Accuracy: Calculate site allowances, supervision costs, and preliminaries to ensure every submission is both competitive and profitable.
- Risk & Contract Management: Perform detailed project risk assessments and interpret contract agreements to ensure full compliance.
- Market Intelligence: Investigate future tender opportunities, monitor the competition, and maintain a pulse on projected workloads.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Build strong professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams to resolve queries and ensure smooth project handovers.
You are a seasoned pro with a "get it done" attitude and an unwavering attention to detail. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess the mathematical and analytical skills to turn complex drawings into successful, winning submissions.
The Essentials:
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Construction, Architecture, Design, or Estimating.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience reading plans and specifications with a strong understanding of technical drawings.
- Software Proficiency: Excellent computer skills, including specialised estimating packages and Microsoft Office.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of standard construction contracts and associated subcontract agreements.
- Compliance: A current Driver’s License and White Card are mandatory.
