Randstad is partnering with a Federal Government Agency to recruit an EL2 Director Policy and Strategy position. This role is critical in driving strategic policy reform to deliver more efficient, effective intermediary services that achieve optimal outcomes.
Assignment Overview
- Pay Rate: $754.20 per day (excluding super).
- Location: Flexible / National. Candidates can be based in Tasmania, with access to offices nationally and flexible hybrid working arrangements, Full-Time
Role Responsibilities
... - Leading reform projects in line with the department's wider program of work.
- Leading teams to develop reform policies and strategies, and policy and corporate documents to a high standard.
- Designing and leading strategic commissioning initiatives.
- Undertaking market engagement and analysis for strategic commissioning.
- Providing expert policy advice.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leading and participating in governance groups and forums.
- Managing work streams within budget to meet department and Group objectives.
- Contributing to branch leadership, building a positive and high performing team culture.
Key Selection Criteria
- Knowledge of and experience in strategic policy
- Experience leading teams within the public sector to deliver reform policy, projects, programs
- Experience with legislation
- Experience with strategic commissioning
- Knowledge of the disability sector
- Understanding of Commonwealth procurement rules

- Citizenship: You must be an Australian Citizen to be eligible for this role.
- Clearances: Successful candidates must undergo a National Criminal History Records Check and possess any clearances required to undertake the duties of the assignment.
