As a key member of the Community Services division, you will provide the strategic leadership and operational oversight necessary to manage a high-performing Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
About your next role
As the Education & Training Manager, you will translate high-level board strategy into operational outcomes across all education and training initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the RTO, VET in Schools programs, Remote University Study Hubs, and the Indigenous Skills Employment Program.
- Ensuring full compliance with ASQA, the VET Quality Framework, and all funding obligations.
- Identifying and securing new funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships to expand accredited and non-accredited program revenue.
- Recruiting, mentoring, and managing a multidisciplinary team of educators and administrative staff to foster a high-performance culture.
- Building and maintaining culturally respectful relationships with Indigenous communities, government agencies, and industry experts.
- Focusing on tailored support to ensure learners achieve career-oriented goals and maintain high program completion rates.
What you will need to bring
- Extensive experience managing an RTO, including compliance, training delivery, audits, and staff performance.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, with the ability to build trust in remote and culturally diverse settings.
- The ability to translate organisational goals into effective training strategies and long-term development plans.
- Proven track record in budgeting, business planning, and managing government-funded training contracts.
- High-level competence in Microsoft Office Suite and RTO-specific data management.
Mandatory Requirements
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor).
- Ability to successfully complete an ASQA Fit and Proper Person Declaration.
- Willingness to travel to remote communities via vehicle (unsealed roads) or light aircraft.
- Desired: Graduate Certificate in Learning or Diploma in Training Design & Development.
